My mother, Doris Cox (now deceased) served in the WAAF from November 1942 until April 1945.  She was a cook and was in 909 squadron but also spent time with No.12 Balloon Centre (932/933 squadrons).  She spoke of spending time at Balloon sites on Wanstead Flats in East London and Portsmouth/Gosport which tallies with the squadron and centre number.  I would love to make contact with anyone who served with my mother, particularly from her Portsmouth days.

I have two group photos from her WAAF days - in the first one (all girls) my mum is in the middle of the middle row - and in the second one (both men and women) she is the first woman on the left in the back row.
